The CDDA is excited to announce Guest Speaker Suketu Patel, Specialist Asset Entitlement & Business Improvement, from Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operation- A Glencore Company, will be joining us at the Eastern Safety Meeting, May 23rd, to discuss the benefits of employing immigrants and newcomers in your workplace.
Migrated to Canada as an internationally trained professional and landed immigrant. Now, Suketu Patel is a Canadian citizen and past President of India-Canada Association of Sudbury, Ontario and contributing in various, not for profit organization boards. He strongly believes in giving back to society. He won the Ontario Volunteer Service award in the year 2016.
Suketu Patel’s career spans more than 25 years, serving multiple multinational industries and characterized by successful global roles, setting the strategy and optimize business performance. He is now a Business Improvement Specialist, focused on realizing business transformation with Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations, a Glencore Company. He is an unconventional thinker and transformative leader, who build high performing organizations. Suketu gained significant recognition from implementing organic strategy and delivering productivity and profit improvement.
Suketu has an MBA from Laurentian University, Canada, and Mechanical engineering from National Institute of Technology, India. He is a professional engineer in Ontario. He carries Project Management Professional certifications and certificates from the PROSCI, Board Diversity Council, IVEY and Harvard business schools. He has multinational experience India, Egypt, Philippines and Canada from heavy industry, automotive, aerospace, forestry and mining industry from shop floor level to the management level.
Suketu has been successfully married for the last 19 years and has two children. He balanced his life amicably. He practices spirituality to improve his empathy and wisdom.
