The Canadian Diamond Drilling Association presents awards annually and quarterly to member drilling companies that have achieved the lowest accident frequency or the highest reduction in accident frequency. All member companies are eligible for an award if they have presented their statistics for each quarter of the year and have not had a fatality during the qualifying year. Awards are given in different categories based on the number of man-hours worked during the year. The Henry Skowronski Memorial Award recognizes the company with the best reduction in accident frequency on a percentage basis.
