The Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is proud to announce that the member of the month for October is Geotech Group of Companies.
Geotech Drilling Services Ltd. started in 1996 as a small drilling operation in Prince George BC and quickly found success in the industry, now operating from 4 main locations – Prince George BC (Head Office), Vernon BC, Delta BC, and Grande Prairie, AB. With the strictest ethical business practices, they provide industry-leading drilling services through the implementation of technically advanced equipment and skilled operators. Geotech consistently exceeds the expectations of their diverse client base; ensuring safe, equitable, and empowering employment, for their personnel.
In the past 27 years, Geotech has grown into the Geotech Group of Companies, with Gregg Drilling & Testing Canada Inc, Geotech Alberta (All Service Drilling), Geotech Ekutak (JV with Kitikmeot Corp. in Nunavut), and Tahltech Drilling (JV with The Tahltan Nation in BC). As their company grew, their fleet expanded with it; over the years Geotech has acquired 50+ drills rigs ranging from Sonic, Heli-portable, Track Mount, Truck Mount, Underground, Deep-hole Coring, and Marine Platforms, all of which enable them to complete a variety of scopes from Geotechnical and Exploration, to Environmental, Marine Investigation and Cone Penetration and associated specialized testing services.
Geotech has been a part of some notable domestic projects such as the Hope Bay Mine site where they have been operating since 2008; they have completed close to a million meters drilled between Surface and Underground operations to date. Amongst other notable local projects at Eskay Creek (Exploration and Geotechnical), Red Chris Mine, Site C, LNG, Murray River Mine, Diavik Diamond Mine, and Galore Creek.
Geotech has also been lucky to be part of some International drilling programs such as Geotechnical and Exploration Drilling in Chile, Hydrogeological and Exploration Drilling in Greenland, Exploration Drilling in Burkina Faso, West Africa, and a very remote 1-year abroad drilling program in Antarctica.
