The CDDA would like you to join us in welcoming our new Board of Directors President Dwayne Ross, Vice President, HR & Operational Systems at Hy-Tech Drilling. Dwayne has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the past three years and was elected as President at this year’s 76th CDDA AGM and Convention.
Dwayne Ross has over 20 years experience in the mineral exploration and drilling industry and has worked in many roles including exploration field work, drilling, welding, fabricating, and mechanics. Joining Hy-Tech Drilling in 2002, Dwayne gained in-depth knowledge working as the Shipper/Receiver, Shop Foreman, and Human Resources Manager, prior to his current position as the Saskatoon Branch Manager.
The President of the Board is responsible for assisting the Board of Directors with managing and supervising the activities and affairs of the association. The Board of Directors meets on a regular basis to oversee the management and operation of the association. As well as to assist in planning CDDA events, conventions, and safety meetings. The Board of Directors are required to comply with the NFP Act and its regulations, the articles, the by-laws and any unanimous member agreement (refer to subsection 148(2) of the NFP Act).
The CDDA would like to take this time to thank our previous President of the Board of Directors, Ryan Samis, for his contribution and commitment as President over the past three years. Ryan Samis will continue his contribution to the CDDA through serving as a Board Member of the CDDA.
